Every route into the Valley of the Moon — drive times, transfers, and the easiest way to arrive at camp.
Wadi Rum sits in southern Jordan, and getting there is simpler than most travellers expect. Here's how to arrive from each major starting point — and how we can handle the transfer for you.
From Aqaba (1 hour)
The closest hub. Aqaba's King Hussein International Airport is about 60 km from the Wadi Rum visitor centre — roughly an hour by car. Ideal if you're flying in or crossing from Eilat.
From Petra (1.5 – 2 hours)
The classic pairing. Most guests combine Petra and Wadi Rum; the drive is about 90 minutes of gorgeous desert highway. Ask us to arrange the private transfer between the two.
From Amman (4 hours)
The Desert Highway runs straight south from the capital. Give yourself around four hours, or fly Amman–Aqaba to shorten the day.
Tell us your arrival point and we'll arrange a private transfer straight to camp.
